Emergency Services

1. GENERAL AGREEMENT

Application of Terms: These Terms and Conditions apply to customers requesting assistance from Garagaat for issues related to lost, locked, or duplicate keys, as well as situations where keys are trapped inside the vehicle.

Acceptance: By using the services, customers acknowledged and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. REQUESTING ASSISTANCE FOR LOST OR LOCKED KEY

Service Availability: Services are available to lost keys, duplications or trapped key inside the vehicle. Garagaat will assist upon request.

Proof of Ownership: Customers must provide valid proof of ownership of the vehicle (e.g., vehicle registration, proof of purchase, or an authorized ID) before availing the services. Otherwise, Garagaat shall have the right to refuse the assistance needed.

3. DIFFERENT TYPES OF KEYS UNDER GARAGAAT SERVICE

Standard Keys: Basic metal keys for traditional locks.

  1. Transponder Keys: Electronic keys with chips for vehicles.
  2. Key Fobs: Remote devices for vehicle entry and control.
  3. Smart Keys: Keyless entry and start systems for vehicles.
  4. Skeleton Keys: Simple keys for older locks.
  5. Double-Ended Keys: Keys with identical ends, used for specific locks.
  6. Master Keys: Keys that open multiple locks within a system.
  7. Dimple Keys: High-security keys with indentations on both sides.
  8. Chip Keys: Keys with embedded chips for security systems.
  9. Laser-Cut Keys: Keys with precise laser cuts, often for vehicles.

4. SERVICES FOR LOST KEYS

  1. Key Replacement: Creating a new key to replace a lost one.
  2. Key Duplication: Making copies of a key from the original.
  3. Lock Rekeying: Changing a lock to fit a new key.
  4. Key Extraction: Removing a broken or stuck key from a lock.
  5. Emergency Lockout Services: Helping when locked out due to lost keys.
  6. Transponder Key Programming: Reprogramming lost or new transponder keys.
  7. Key Fob Replacement: Replacing a lost or broken key fob.
  8. Ignition Key Replacement: Replacing lost keys for a vehicle ignition.
  9. High-Security Key Cutting: Creating keys for high-security locks.
  10. Key Cutting for Specialized Locks: Making keys for unique or antique locks.
  11. Lock Replacement: Replacing locks if keys are lost or stolen.

5. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

Safekeeping of Keys. Customers are responsible for the safekeeping of keys provided by Garagaat, including keys related to vehicle rentals, services, or maintenance.

Lost, Locked, or Trapped Key Liability. Customers are liable for any costs associated with the loss, duplication, or unlocking of keys, including key replacement and any related services.

6. KEY ASSISTANCE AND REPLACEMENT PROCESS

Lost Key Assistance: Should a customer loss a key, the situation will be assessed and Garagaat may provide a replacement.

Key Replacement Cost: If a replacement is required, the cost will depend on the type of key (e.g., standard, remote, transponder) and any necessary reprogramming.

Standard Key Replacement: AED (Vendor Charges)

Remote/Smart Key Replacement: AED (Vendor Charges)

Transponder Key Programming: AED (Vendor Charges)

Additional Services: Additional fees may apply for vehicle reprogramming, lock cylinder replacement, or other related services needed to ensure proper security.

Time to Replace Key: The time required for key replacement may vary based on the complexity of the key and vehicle system. Customer will be informed of the estimated timeline and any delays.

7. FEES FOR KEY ASSISTANCE

Key Assistance Fees: Customers will be charged for any assistance services, including unlocking a vehicle, key duplication, and replacement.

Unlocking Fee: AED (Vendor Charges)

Key Duplication Fee: AED (Vendor Charges)

Replacement Key Fee: AED (Vendor Charges)

Additional Charges: Customers may incur extra service or rental fees in case of delays due to the key issue (e.g., additional service time or rental extension).

Deposit Deduction: If a security deposit was provided for vehicle rental or service, any charges for lost or trapped keys may be deducted from the deposit. If the cost exceeds the deposit amount, customers will be invoiced for the remaining balance.

8. LIABILITY FOR LOST, LOCKED, OR DUPLICATE KEYS.

Liability for Loss or Lockout: Garagaat is not liable for any issues related to lost, locked, or trapped keys unless customers make request and receive assistance. Customers are fully liable for all costs associated with key loss, duplication, or unlocking services.

Indemnification: Customers agree to indemnify and hold Garagaat harmless for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by the need for key assistance, including any third-party claims or costs related to these services.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Garagaat’s liability is limited to the replacement of the lost or damaged key or the refund of the key’s purchase price. It is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of its key services, including vehicle damage, lock or ignition system issues, or personal injury;

Customers agree to indemnify and hold Garagaat harmless from any and all claims, damages, or losses resulting from the use of key-related services, including key replacement, duplication, or unlocking.

10. WASTE DISPOSAL

Environmental Disposal: In the event of key-related services that require disposal of parts, such as broken key fobs or old locks, Garagaat ensures that all waste is disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner, in compliance with local laws and regulations;

Disposal Fee: A small disposal fee may apply to ensure proper recycling and environmentally friendly disposal of any key-related waste materials. This fee will be communicated to customers before the service is provided.

11. KEY RETURN AND CUSTODY PROCEDURES

Key Return Procedures: Customers who received a replacement key or had the key duplicated is responsible to handle the key properly and ensure its return if required. Failure to return a key as agreed may result in additional charges;

Return Deadline: Any keys provided during rental or service must be returned within the agreed deadline. Late returns may result in additional charges.

12. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Customers undertake to safe keep the key. Hence, should they request for key assistance, they acknowledged that they are liable for all its consequences, including the cost associated with the replacement, unlocking, duplication and any additional services. Customers likewise undertake to provide valid proof of ownership before the service can be availed of.

13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE;

Dispute Resolution: Customers must inform Garagaat directly to resolve any disputes. If resolution is not possible, disputes will be addressed through formal court proceedings in accordance with UAE law.

14. AMENDMENT TO TERMS

Garagaat reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated Terms and Conditions will be posted on their website. Such new terms and conditions will take effect immediately after its publication.
